Spring has Sprung

This picture is from back in February.  I found it and wanted to share.  It was a gorgeous day and we headed to the lake.  Bryson had just gotten his cast on the week before and I took the risk of bagging his arm and letting him out on the Kayak. I thought he would tire out pretty quick, but in true Bryson style, he stayed out as long as we would let him.
This picture is from the Children's Museum.  Andrew designed the ramps for the balls on the magna wall so that it would just keep going and going without anyone needing to do anything.  I thought is was pretty creative.

David loves to vacuum.  After a couple of days of paper cutting mania in Andrew and Catherine's bedroom, we finally pulled out the vacuum.  It was so rewarding to me as a mom when Andrew commented on how easy it was clean his room now that we have a place for everything.  I dedicated one day for each bedroom over spring break and it is paying off.

The wonderful weather called for the first water balloon fight of the year.  It got plain old hot last weekend and the kids took full advantage of it.  Andrew had his first scouting event and first case of poison oak.  It's amazing how scouts and poison oak go together.  Fortunately it was a very mild case.
David loved the water balloons and since I want to go to bed soon, I'm not taking the time to turn the picture:)

Some of the high lights from this week were...
Going for a walk in the air park on  Monday morning.  It was a beautiful day and we were out before 9.  It was so much fun to pick the wild flowers in the empty lots and count ladybugs.  The boys brought our wagon that you can steer from inside.  They would push each other up a hill and then give a push at the top of the hill.  The rider had a blast flying down the hills.  We stayed out for at least an hour.  It was one of those times that I felt like time had stopped and we were able to just enjoy the moment.

Tuesday morning started a little differently.  I cleaned up a mouse head and organs off of the deck to start off my day.  It is strange to see little mouse eyes looking at you with only a head connected to it.  I am not sure why the cats like the mouse, but not the organs.  This is the second time that we have found a disassembled mouse on the deck.  I am just grateful that the cats are good mousers.

This morning was not very exciting.  Just a dentist appointment.  One of the highlights of the day was that Andrew finished his STAR testing early so we don't have to drive to testing again tomorrow.  Thank you Andrew.

"Spring has Sprung..." I've been saying that in my head all week! It's absolutely gorgeous. I love the diaper baby pushing the vaccuum! Glad to hear you are getting the rooms in order- I am trying to do the same here. A room a day keeps it from getting overwhelming. =) More good happenings in the Cambridge family!

His favorite toy at our house is probably the pretend vaccuum. Kudos to the person that can make one for kids that actually works.
