Vision Board

I have heard them called many things. A vision, dream, goal board. When I first brought Bryson home for school, I was looking for ideas on line for homeschooling. One of the ideas was a dream board. The day before I had been at Kaleem's while she was making one with Libby. It's funny how an idea comes to a person in groups. We had a family night activity doing dream boards. Bryson's had mostly airplanes on it. Andrew's made me smile. The center has a huge ice cream cone, but on one side is Pres. and Sis. Monson. The other side has the words mom, music, science and a few others. I made one of my own. One picture has a nice shiny, clean kitchen. You could see the counter tops!

Where am I going with this? Well, yesterday at the midwifery picnic, Kaleem mentioned vision boards and I thought about mine. I glanced at it last night, but this morning I looked at it for a few moments and thought about what each picture represents to me. The Oakland Temple reminds me of my sealing to Levi, and the savior reminds me of my end goal. I looked at the kitchen picture and thought of how nice it is when on the rare occasion my wonderfully long counter is usable.

After lunch Levi called the kids into the kitchen to clean it up. It started with the dishes and floors. He mentioned getting the counters clean and that stirred something in me. The counter is at the moment very usable and doesn't make me tired looking at it. Thank you Levi for getting us started.

If there is something you want, try a dream, goal, vision board. It is nice to have a reminder of the things you are working towards and it works!
