Movin' and Shakin'

I think Levi and I thrive off of moving things around. We don't like to change our location, just where our stuff is. Today Levi worked downstairs trying to make sense of what's going on down there and I packed up the toys. It was wonderful. Lisa inspired me when she told about how they bagged up all of the toys and have had the kids earn privileges back. Well I am not prepared for the chore chart and all the organization or preparation it requires. That may be a few more weeks or months or years, but the toys had to get under control. I started with one set of drawers and then the kitchen and then one more set of drawers and then Levi took down the
doll and stuffed animal bucket. By this point I was ready to get rid of it, not just pack it up. I had two more trash bags full that went down stairs. It took a good amount of my day to get the room clean. It felt so good to get the trundle pushed back in after vacuuming and to get the whole floor clean. I don't even buy much and we have a ridiculous amount of stuff. Bryson and Catherine seem much happier with there simplified room. I did leave out one small bucket of toys with some hot wheels and a few things for David. Many big items and sets of things are up in the closets and are on a with permission only basis. I figure since I am not ready for the full fledged chart and stickers yet, that this is a good medium. Since I took out the kitchen and toy drawers, we have room for the cute wicker couch Jasmine and Fonda gave us when we moved. David figured out how to climb up onto it within an hour or two of it being up.

My two cutie pies. Catherine got dressed and left with Levi while I was in the shower today. I had to smile when I realize what she had decided on for her clothes today. Blue stripes and orange and brown flowers:) Whatever works.

I can feel your good feeling from here!!

I remember my step-mom always re-arranging the furniture and what-not, and it does bring a better feel into the house.

Be wary- my kids got their toys back over the weekend and I can feel my workload increasing already! It is so nice to have a simplified house. The positive side is that their behavior has improved tremendously. I hope this does good things for your family as well.

Wow, Catherine is a little lady! They are so grown up! And she'll get along great with Kami, she loves to mismatch outfits.
Oh, and I think I was signed in as Tyler before. Pay no attention, that was me. :)
