We had the opportunity to go to a preview day of the local air show today. The DSIA and Children's hospital were invited to come with families for the fun day. We only saw who needed to rehearse, but it was really fun. There was plenty of food and activities for us all. Thank you Courtney for sharing this fun day with us.

The boys all out in the sunshine. Bryson was by that fence almost all day getting as close to the action as possible.
Ear plugs were a necessity for certain parts of the show. The really cool parts with fast planes.
The heat and fun tuckered everyone out. David was asleep within moments of being buckled in and Catherine wasn't far behind.
Some of the K9 units from the Sheriffs Department were there throughout the day. It was all this dog could do to sit still. The officers were great. This one even had little cards with his and the dogs picture on it that he handed out to the kids.Towards the beginning of the show was a semi truck with jet engines on it. It was crazy. As the engines fired flames came out the back longer than the length of the truck. On his last drive by he went full speed. Today that was 325mph. Crazy fast. He had the parachutes opening behind him and everything.
Otto the helicopter was pretty tricky. We learned and witnessed first hand that helicopters can fly backwards and do all sorts of crazy tricks. Otto's performance was long and really fun to watch. Afterwards the pilot also had little card he was signing and handing out to the kids. It was a great day.

We're going tomorrow! I'm glad it was fun..... =) Earplugs and sunscreen are definitely on my list of things to bring. =)
