It is official. Catherine is walking. She is now on her feet more often than her knees. We all have so much fun with her. We bought her first pair of big kid shoes yesterday and she loves them. When Levi asked her about her new shoes she looked at her feet and then around the room to try and find them. When she did find them she picked them up and showed them to Levi with pride. I must admit that I am having a very good time with my little girl. It is fun to have someone to try shoes on with.
Thinking of trying on shoes reminds me of the experience I had at Kohl's yesterday. Anyone who knows me very well knows that I do not do much shopping unless it is at Costco or Trader Joe's. Bryson desperately needed new shoes so out we went. I still have a gift card from my birthday last November so when the search for Bryson shoes was not successful I had the bright idea of looking for a pair of shoes for myself. Anyone that knows me very well also knows that my shoe wardrobe is lacking. I was trying on shoes when Catherine and Bryson were walking in the isle. Somehow Catherine ended up with her face on the floor and of course started to cry. I picked her up and she kept on crying until she lost it on herself, my shoes and the floor in the shoe department of Kohl's. I was very grateful for my wrap that I had carried Catherine into the store in. I was also very grateful that she hadn't wanted to eat that morning. Milk is much easier to clean up than chunks of grape. I cleaned her up. Wiped off my shoes and cleaned up the floor with it. We then left the store. So whenever you see me with nothing but tennis shoes on you'll know why.
I'll post some new pictures soon.
